It’s funny how fast things can change. He’s happy, cooing and smiling one second and crying, red-faced and shrill the next.
Poor Laura, everytime she held him yesterday, he went from happy baby to mad baby. (I’m sure it’s nothing personal towards his Aunt Laura!)
We actually are thinking it might be the reflux again. He was doing pretty well with the rice cereal, but the last few days, he has been so uncomfortable again.
And when Andrew is uncomfortable, everyone must know about it! LOL.
It might be time to ask the Dr. if he should be on Zantac. Poor little man. You can hear the noise coming from his throat after he eats.
Poor little guy!

Zantac is a wonderful thing. As much as we didn’t want to have to medicate Max, it worked so well.

Oh yeah, and it really helped trying to keep him upright after feedings.

We had to medicate J for reflux and our Pediatrician recommended the childrens prevacid. It dissolved quickly in a small amount of water and I would squirt it into the back of his mouth with an infant medicine syringe. As long as it was the first thing in his tummy each morning it worked like a charm. He outgrew the reflux and now doesn’t need anything.

That poor child! Get him the Zantac! Both of my children had reflux and took zantac.
We also held (hold for current child) upright for 20 minutes after each feeding. The head of their cribs were inclined so that they weren’t ever flat. In fact, our daughter slept in her car seat for weeks.

That is so not a happy face! Hope he’s feeling better soon! Much better with a smiling meatball than a crying one!

Should he get checked for allergies to wheat or milk? I read a lot of blogs with kids with those allergies.

So sorry he’s being so fussy. If it’s reflux, hopefully that will go away with meds. It’s not related to anything Lois is eating or the formula you’re using, right? :/ Wish I knew the answer for you guys. Sounds like others have some helpful advice, having gone through it themselves. I do agree that keeping him elevated may help. Some people swear by Gripe Water for gas/stomach issues. Not sure that would help with acid reflux though. Good luck!!!
