mommies of the year!

Andrew was hanging out on the floor playing when we both got engrossed in the fact that he kept getting sidetracked from playtime and would scratch the back of his head with his left hand.

Finally, we decided to look at the back of his head.

Poor kid has this red cradle cap/rash thing going on.

Oops. Sorry buddy. It looked pretty itchy.

He was probably thinking “hey, you idiots, instead of ooh-ing and ahh-ing about how cute I look right now, could you possibly get me some cream or something?!?!?!”

We were just amazed that he was using his hands to do something with purpose!

That must have been some itch :) ha ha ha
You are going to have to come up with something better than that to get Mother of the Year. :)

Andrew is probably going to make a point to learn to speak at an early age since his mommies are a little rusty at charades.

Did you give him an olive oil shampoo? That worked well with Olivia. A good dose of olive oil then a few regular shampoos. Be careful if you do it while giving him a bath. It can make him and the tub slippery. I just leaned Olivia’s head over the sink and washed it that way.

Andrew sure is getting big and handsome. I’ve got some catching up to do. Missed you guys. I promise I’m out from under my rock.

LOL, that’s a funny story. If it’s cradle cap, Vaseline works well but it takes a lot of washing to get it out. We also used baby oil and it worked too. We rubbed it in and let it sit for a few minutes, then combed the flakes out, then washed his hair.

I agree with KJ& the kids…you edfinitely need something bigger and better to win the mother of the year award. I, myself, have been the recipient more times than I can count. :)

Cradle crap is nasty. Both my kids are prone to it if their heads get too sweaty and my 5 year old is a sweat box when he sleeps so it’s a constant battle to keep it under control.

good to know that other people are busy battling cradle cap. that stuff sucks, and drew and i are still battling it (especially now during the summer months when he’s sweaty). but drew and i battle a lot of minor skin irritations… he’s plagued. but i think that if that is the worse you and i have to endure, then we are doing well. except for the complete strangers who felt the need to kiss my kid last night at a friend’s bday party.
