I attended a “networking” type thing this morning that was a charity fundraising breakfast event.
So I had breakfast with…
AL R*KER!!
Ok, so it was me and about 400 other people. He was very funny and I even met him, he signed books for me. He seems like a really awesome guy and I even had a moment where I thought I should be watching The T*day Show and not Good M*rning America (I *heart* Diane and Robin).
As for us, not much going on. Work is busy, still not one person interested in the condo. I am starting to feel stressed and in need of a vacation, but not possible right now.
On another note, I had a freak out moment when I got home the other night. Our little guy was sleeping on the floor. Cute, isn’t he?!!?
All of a sudden, I looked at him and thought he didn’t look so much like a baby. He looked like a little boy! I almost totally freaked out that I am missing this whole baby thing being at work all the time.
When did he get so big? How can I slow down this time/growth thing??

Andrew does look like a little boy in that picture! Kim and I had a moment like that too. Erik was kneeling over by the stairs, and we looked at him and were both saying, “Who is that kid? Where is our baby?” He just suddenly looked like a child rather than a baby. Now I have those moments all the time, but I’ll never forget that first time.

You’re such an Al Roker groupie! : )
Your little man is adorable (as usual) and still looks like a baby to me. It does go by quickly doesn’t it?

How cool is meeting Al, I have always thought he was a great guy. It really is true that the kids are grown up before you know it. I can’t believe it, B is using such big words now. She told me yesterday that they are learning about “transportation” at school this week. She said it clear as day!

Wow – he is definitely getting big! Maybe you need to put him back in onesie’s and cotton bottoms. Those little boy jeans make him age a few months – at least!
Wishing you luck on the condo…AND the vacation!

sadly it doesn’t slow down. if it’s any consolation, i work from home and see ryan all day long and i still wonder how she got so big so fast and am confused as to when she became a little girl and no longer my little baby.
i wish she’d sleep on a pillow though, that picture of andrew is adorable!

Hey Lois,
Our house was on the market a long time too. We actually just took it off until next spring…

I kept seeing the title of this post in my Google Reader and was thinking, “Who is Al?” Imagine my shock to see just who Al was! I also second you on wondering where the time has gone. Av looks more like a little girl and less like a little baby girl each day.

D works a lot and he told me yesterday that he gets emotional – even cries – when he’s away from Boy. He’s an active Poppa and misses his boy when he’s away. I know I would need anti-depressants if I had to work and put Boy into daycare.

I have those same thoughts, especially when I watch my children sleeping. I was told that time would fly by – and it has. That is cool that you got to meet Al R. and even cooler that he is a nice guy. I’m crossing my fingers for your condo!

STOP feeding him IMMEDIATELY. Hopefully that will slow things down a little.
I just had this conversation today. I want someone to come up with minaturizing babies. You know like they do with dogs.
Paris Hilton will have the FIRST one

HI!! I wanted to add something about the spirited child. If you remember I said that I had a kid in my daycare who was a fireball? Well since he has learned to crawl, he does not scream as much because he can entertain himself. Glad that A did good at daycare, I agree I think he needs more stimulation then just being with his mom. You guys made the right decision

So cool that you got to meet him…
He is getting big, it happens so fast, really don’t blink! Be home as much as you possibly can..

Sorry I’ve been absent for so long. Okay a couple of things. #1- Totally jealous that you met Al Roker. I heart him.
#2- Andrew is getting so big and so cute. Glad to hear that daycare is going well. They really like it and get used to it.
