Here’s our little monkey.
Or “Lil’ Pops”
Or “Meatball”
Or “Tank”
Or “6 pack” (Aunt Laura’s favorite. She calls his belly is a 6 pack. I think it’s a keg)
Or “Drewmeister” or “Chunk-a-munk” or “Bud” or “Beefcake” or whatever comes out of our mouths at any time we’re addressing him.
He has a new nickname this week.
“The Beav” or “Beaver”
It appears that he is one of those kids who not only likes to put everything in his mouth (everything other than a teething toy), but truly wants to chew.
This is something that I never thought about when I bought a wood crib.
When I bought a wood crib, it was solely because I wanted it to match my bedroom furniture.
I never thought I would have a beaver for a child.
I was hoping to just find some plastic at H*me De-pot but I may end up ordering this. (Thanks, Casey)

In other news, Tuesday night started the “hard core mommies” bedtime camp.
We are determined to get him back to going to sleep by himself and not waking up 4 times during the night wanting to be held.
Tuesday night we put him to bed at 9:30 pm. He stopped crying and fell asleep around 10 pm. Was up at 12 am, 2 am, 3:30 and 5. All for about 30 minutes a shot.
Last night, went down by 10 pm and only woke up at 12 am and 3 am. Both times going right back down, no crying, after putting the binky back in his mouth.
I am not going to get too optimistic yet that we’ve cured anything, but I am really hoping for a night tonight that is more like last night.
Oh, and I put a CD player in his room and have the “nature” version of Pachelbel’s Canon playing on repeat.
As for us, we are definitely keeping busy. I’m trying to not be too stressed and not take any stress out on my lovely and patient significant other. (smile)
