sweet dreams

We did the cry it out thing on Thursday night and Saturday night – he was at Mema and Pop-pop’s on Friday night. We let him cry when he woke up and didn’t go in there. Believe it or not, he didn’t cry for that long, probably less than 10 minutes each time (that’s a long 10 minutes though).

Now…

[quickly finding wood to knock on numerous times for good measure]

He has slept through the night 9:00 pm to 7 am for 3 nights in a row! Wahoo!!!

And, on Monday night, we forgot his soft music and his nightlight. Maybe he likes silence and darkness. Who knows. But we’re sticking with what’s working right now.

Thanks everyone for their input!

In other news, we are having our open house this weekend. Hopefully, people are starting to look at houses again. We had a young couple come look last night.

So, that makes this weekend a little jam-packed. I have tickets to the UC*onn women’s basketball game Saturday. Lois might have the girls that day. Sunday is church, the open house, a baby shower and two very important football games.

We are debating not taking Andrew to the baby shower since it’s a 45 min drive, 3 hours long and in a restaurant. I offered to make the sacrifice to not go to the shower and watch football Andrew.

Marlis, our Norwegian friend and my former nanny (yes, she’s got a lot of stories about me) is getting ready to get the baby out of her, get this pregnancy thing over with deliver her precious baby boy any day now. Feel free to join me in  sending Marlis wishes of a quick and easy (as much as possible) delivery!

hang tough on the sleep thing. . .

BTW, I hope it’s going to be not you(because your team is a freakin’ machine–but anyone with a brain knows it’ll be you) and me in the Superbowl. I grew up 30 minutes from Green Bay baby!!! Go Pack! If we get there, maybe a friendly wager????

I am so very happy that Andrew has slept through some nights and the crying did not last long on others…how very cool!!!
I will keep my fingers crossed that the open house is VERY SUCCESSFUL!! Personally I vote for you staying home and watching football (oops watching Andrew) – a three hour ride is just too long!!! (lol)

GOOD LUCK MARLIS – I HOPE IT IS A QUICK AND BEAUTIFUL DELIVERY!!!!
(and when you are recovered any details on Holly would be greatly appreciated – LOLOLOLOL)

    Peace–Ellie

Thanks to all of you for wishing me good luck.. It sure was an adventure being Hollys nanny, I think it is for the best to leave it at that…

Yay on the sleep progress! We’ve forgotten the music a couple times, but it’s the norm for us when Isaac goes to bed. I think he could take it or leave it. He seems to like the darkness and even wants us to turn the light out so we can hang out in the dark a bit before we put him to bed.

Fingers are crossed that Andrew keeps up the good work! :-)
