To follow up my last depressing post, I must post a picture of our picnic yesterday.
Shmoo had a total blast, but he was clinging to me 50% of the time and running for something off limits 50% of the time. I would start talking to someone and he would either be totally shy or he would run away.
The picnic place is really cool, complete with mini golf, ball fields, a lake with paddle boats, lots of food, pony rides, etc. It may be another year or two before he cares about anything other than climbing steps over and over again.
He slept in the car on the way home, then got his second wind and was up until almost 11:30 pm.
Of course, I brought the camera and didn’t take one single picture. Our marketing guru sent me this one, so I’m sharing it.
I do realize that my facial expression here is a little bizarre, but the point is for you to be looking at the kid, not the chubby girl in the bathing suit.
Notice…
1. I tried to get in the pool before too many people arrived. The last thing I want is too many co-workers seeing me in a bathing suit.
2. After going 8 months, I finally got a haircut. And it’s blonder too!

I could not find a chubby girl in a bathing suit in the picture. I did however, see one hot mama with the look of joy on her face and a very,very cute little boy.
